Considered one of the largest and most successful security programs in the industry, SOC has partnered with the U.S. Department of State to deliver a new model for high-threat security protection.  We begin and end with one goal; namely: to assure that our Government customer can successfully carry out U.S. foreign policy and protect critical national security interests.

SOC Secures Renewed U.S. Diplomatic Presence in High Threat Region of Africa

When the U.S. Government decided to re-establish our nation’s diplomatic presence in an important region of Africa, SOC was called to lead the way by providing mobile and static security for U.S. diplomats and government personnel in a very hostile environment.  This vital diplomatic effort followed not long after the U.S. evacuated its embassy due to instability and violence.  The mission is critical as the purpose of the renewed U.S. presence is to help prevent further genocide.  SOC was able to fully deploy and stand up the mission thirty days ahead of schedule. We now also provide Tactical Operations Center support.

Security and Other Support for Department of Defense Forward Operating Locations

SOC excels in the delivery of security in expeditionary and austere environments, and we appreciate the opportunity to deploy with our U.S. military to help augment their critical missions.  For example, on the heels of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2004, we were immediately called to provide static and perimeter security, equipment procurement, mobilization, transition, and other essential requirements to augment security operations at four different U.S. military bases spread across that country.  SOC mobilized more than 10,000 security professionals in short fashion to ensure that our U.S. military forces could safely focus on their offensive operations.  Because of our success, we were asked by the U.S. military to work with them to help create the governing policies and procedures in effect for private security contractors today.  With a workforce made up of largely military veterans, SOC embraces its role as a support element for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.  Beyond just security, we have also worked side-by-side with our U.S. Armed Forces to provide medical training, construction, and logistics support to partner nations in Africa and Southwest Asia.

SOC Team of Experts Remove Harmful Munitions from Receding U.S. Lake Shore

SOC is working with the Department of Defense within the United States to remove Material Potentially Presenting Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) and Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC). Climate change has caused a U.S. lake shoreline to recede nearly 10 miles and drop 150 feet in the past 100 years, uncovering the risk of potentially harmful contaminates in a formerly active range used by the military for ordnance testing. Although there is believed to be additional explosive hazards beneath the service, an estimated 4,000 leftover visible munitions remain on this shoreline from past military function testing - predominately in the form of rocket bodies. Applying SOC’s strong standards of safety and environmentally responsible disposal processes, as the cleanup and discovery of materials continues, the project will include ongoing research and assessments of warhead/motor conditions from samplings of rockets in various locations.

SOC was chosen for an important partnership with one of the world's largest aerospace companies, a manufacturer of defense, space and security systems, in support of the company’s Middle East operations. SOC constructed the actual worksite for the project at an airbase in Iraq and since then has supported the company’s Field Service Representatives (FSRs) in the region. SOC completed the start-up of the project on time and on budget and even expedited the implementation of a VIP access gate, eliminating all "Red-Zone" exposure for personnel, reducing travel time and creating a safer workplace.
